FHNA March 21 Update

Hello Friends,

We hope that this finds You and Yours well!

We’d like to communicate several things to you:

  • A Request for the 2024 Home Tour.
  • Invitation and Information on the Tuesday, April 18 Quarterly Meeting.
  • The Status of the FHNA.

2024 Home Tour

Last year, the FHNA sponsored a Historical Home tour that sold out with 500 guests and furthered our home values and city-wide praise.  There was food, live music, and hidden Prohibition Rooms to view.

Would you like to offer your home for the 2024 Home Tour? Any home with historical or architectural interest would be great!  We need about five homes.

Please respond to this post, if you would be willing to open a part of your home for the 2024 Home Tour.  Because preparation for such a large event takes one year, we need to know by early May.

Tuesday, April 18 Quarterly Meeting

Please mark this date on your calendar. It should be a high-interest meeting!  We will be meeting a little earlier.

5:30 PM: With many candidates running, it is challenging for us to keep informed.  Multiple candidates for Mayor, Council Ward 8 and Council-At-Large have said YES to speaking to us for a very short time and taking audience questions.

6:30 PM: Short Business Meeting:

  • News on our awesome Butterfly Garden.
  • What is happening in the local Real Estate Market? We will have a short business meeting followed by a very informative, fun (Trivia) Real Estate Presentation by two of your neighbors who are agents.
  • Ward 8 Representative; and Officer Brown.
  • Great Door Prizes; Adult Beverage; Friendship and Fun.

FHNA Status

Your current officers have served 10 or more years, and some will be stepping down at the end of this year.  We are looking for new FHNA leadership and have not found candidates.

If we cannot get volunteers by June 1, the events for 2024 are in question, and we may have to evolve into an inactive status.  This would cancel events for the next year and possibly for the rest of this year, including Sleigh Bells Ring, the Easter Egg Hunt, the Fall Festival, the Home Tour, etc.

Summary for Response Deadlines to this post:

  • May 1: Offering part of your home for the 2024 home tour (we need about 5 homes), THANK YOU!
  • June1: Serving as an officer in the FHNA.  Any officer would be happy to talk to you about a specific role.

Thank you for your enthusiasm and ongoing support!

Sincerely,

Diane Geiger, 513-967-4450, DianeGeiger73@icloud.com
Joe Geiger, 513-460-3291, Joseph.Geiger@me.com
