Be aware…

At 5:20 pm on Monday afternoon, Sept. 25, a tall, thin young man (possibly a teenager)—with close-cropped hair and wearing a white t-shirt, dark shorts and dark shoes—trespassed by running westward through multiple back yards on Hampshire and Brice Roads.  At least one resident and two workmen saw him. We do not know if he simply wanted to run on rougher terrain or if he had other purposes in mind, but he did not ask permission or stop when observed.

If you know who the runner is and his intentions were just to save time or give himself a more challenging running track, please remind him to ask residents’ permission before running through their back yards. One resident called the non-emergency police number to notify them. If you have seen the runner but do not know who he is, please contact the Akron Police Department or go to our website – www.fairlawnheightsakron.org – and select the “Contact” option to let the FHNA know.

Just a reminder: It is a liability to homeowners to have uninvited people, even if their intentions are harmless, on their properties. Their uninvited presence may be regarded as a threat.
