FHNA Family Festival is Saturday!!

The Fairlawn Heights Neighborhood Association (FHNA) Fourth Annual Fall Festival, open to all residents of Fairlawn Heights, will take place on September 23, 2017, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., on Fairlawn Boulevard, and is held rain or shine.

A special feature of the festival is the American Toy Marble Museum’s toy marble railway, which the Museum’s representative, Michael Cohill, explains this way: “Magical, mystical marbles put a spin on fun, throughout the ages, throughout the world.  To some, marbles are an historic look at times gone by, to some the exciting challenge of youthful fun, and to others a glimpse of artistic fantasy.”

“But for all who would roll with the fun, there is magic in marbles,” he continued, “Akron’s Marble Railways is a sculptural glimpse of that mystique.”

In addition to the marble exhibit, the FHNA Fall Festival has food and entertainment for the whole family, including: music, food truck from Stray Dog Café, kids games, and a bounce house.  Plus, wine and beer for adults provided by Regency Wines.

“This annual event is a terrific opportunity to celebrate our neighborhood and make some new friends while socializing with old friends,” said Robert Keener, FHNA’s President and Chair of the Social Committee.  “The Festival is the perfect chance for Fairlawn Heights residents to meet their neighbors and celebrate the beginning of another beautiful fall season in our neighborhood.”

“The past three festivals drew hundreds of people, all of whom enjoy the food, folks, and fun,” Keener continued.  “It’s a great time for the entire family.”

“And of course there will be plenty of members of the FHNA in attendance to assist with membership information,” Keener added.

Membership is not required to attend the event, however, residents are encouraged to support the organization with both dues and time.
