FAIRLAWN HEIGHTS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES QUARTERLY MEETING

The Fairlawn Heights Neighborhood Association announces its Quarterly Meeting at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at the Resnik Community Learning Center. The agenda will include committee reports on past activities, a speaker and new 8th Ward Councilman Shammas Malik, who will be present to answer question and discuss items of interest to residents. If time permits, there will also be an Open Forum for residents to discuss issues of concern.

Our speaker will be Mr. Brooke Anderson, his presentation. His “World War I: Causes and Effects,” will look into the war’s beginning and the many lasting effects created by the “Great War,” “The War to End All Wars,” and, later, World War II.

As a retired businessman, Brooke Anderson, of Aurora, OH, has been able to pursue actively his interest in military history. He was a volunteer at the Palm Springs, CA, Air Museum for ten years, in charge of archives and exhibits. After returning to Ohio, he became a volunteer as a member of the curator staff at the MAPS Air Museum in North Canton, where he does historical research and designs displays.

Any questions may be addressed to Mr. Robert L. Keener, President of the Association at rkeener@neo.rr.com.

The mission of the Fairlawn Heights Neighborhood Association is to provide a forum to express and discuss issues of concern to the homeowners of Fairlawn Heights, to engage with appropriate governmental authorities to resolve matters of concern to the residents of Fairlawn Heights, to enhance community awareness in order to maintain the neighborhood’s culture and environment, and to protect property values.
